Omega Psi Phi Fraternity selects men whose records demonstrate that they possess mental capacity, strong character and an earnest desire to equip themselves for service to humanity. The Fraternity seeks to develop conscientious, eager, enthusiastic, and active members who will carry on our traditions, ideals, and service in years ahead.
To become a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, you must:
- Possess the qualities of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift
- Display the qualities of leadership
- Have an overall 2.5 grade point average (4 point system) or its equivalent from a college or university recognized by the fraternity, be certified as a full time student and be at least a second semester freshman (if an undergraduate).
- Have earned at least a bachelors degree from an approved college or university (graduate)
- Show evidence of school or community involvement. (Examples, Church, social organizations, NAACP, UNCF, Masonic Order, etc.)
- Participate in an official Information Session conducted by the Regional Intake Team only after receiving an invitation.
- Request that an official transcript bearing College/University seals be mailed directly from the Registrar to the Chairman of the Regional Intake Team.
- Pay only dues and fees identified at the Informational Session.
- Submit a medical examination, pass a record check, pass an interview, and pass an examination regarding the history of the Fraternity.
- Have three (3) letters of recommendation submitted.
